CHANGE OF LINE-UP: Mikhail Timoshenko. Elitsa Desseva
Continued dances

CAST CHANGE: Following the illness of singer Katharina Konradi (soprano), Catriona Morison (mezzo-soprano), who would have performed with Konstantin Krimmel (baritone) as a replacement, has now also had to withdraw due to illness. Instead of canceling the evening, it has been possible to offer a top-class new cast: Mikhail Timoshenko (baritone) and Elitsa Desseva (piano) will take over.

Timoshenko, who is known for the beauty of his voice and high musicality, already wowed the audience at the last Liedfestival with his partner. This season he has appeared in leading roles at the opera houses in Paris and London and as a lieder singer at the Wigmore Hall and the Brucknerhaus Linz. The singer could already be heard at this year's Liedfestival in the museum tour through the Kurpfälzisches Museum on Sunday. Elitsa Desseva can also be seen at the festival in her role as Director of Studies at the Heidelberger Frühling Liedakademie.

With their programme "Fortgesetzte Tänze", the duo brings the songs of two unjustly forgotten composers of the early 20th century to the stage: Eduard Erdmann and Philipp Jarnach. The two artists have recorded the works on their recently released CD "Eduard Erdmann - Lieder" (Hänssler). The programme also includes "Songs and Dances of Death" by Modest Mussorgsky and works by Maurice Ravel and Franz Schubert

Tickets already purchased remain valid.
