No one can live without dreams. My greatest life dream – to sing, and to be allowed to sing – is fulfilled every day. I’d like to share this dream by supporting and encouraging young singers as they start their careers.
For many years, I have dedicated myself to the Lied, and it is my deepest desire to preserve this art form. The most beautiful songs, the best Liederabend will only touch people when the song has a soul and when the singer has deeply internalized the meaning of the poetry.
I wish all the participants of this competition much success and a marvelous time!
