Prizes / Stipends / Concerts

1st prize: € 30,000
The first prizewinner will receive a monthly stipend of € 2,500 for one year.

2nd prize: € 15,000
The second prizewinner will receive a monthly stipend of € 1,500 for a period of 10 months.

3rd prize: € 7,500
The third prizewinner will receive a monthly stipend of € 750 for a period of 10 months.

Prize for pianists: € 5,000–10,000
Stipend for ten months: € 500 to € 1,000

Encouragement Prize: € 5,000 + master class with Thomas Quasthoff
The prizewinner will receive a monthly stipend of € 500 for a period of 10 months.

To provide young singers and pianists an opportunity to concentrate for a certain period of time entirely on their studies and training, the prizes will be awarded as monthly stipends. The jury will be given the greatest possible freedom in awarding prizes. If the first prize cannot be awarded, the jury can award two second prizes. The third prize will only be awarded if a fitting candidate is found.

Concerts

"Das Lied - International Song Competition" not only offers participants a chance to win stipends, but also provides them with a stage: indeed, several stages. The following have firmly agreed to offer performance opportunities within the next two years to the winners:
